Phi Delta Theta is one of the world's largest social fraternities. Founded December 26, 1848, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Phi Delta Theta has grown to over 160 chapters in 43 states and 6 Canadian provinces. Nearly 220,000 members have been initiated to Phi Delta Theta over its 156 year history.
The purpose of the New York Alpha Chapter of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity is to enhance the college experience of its members through the promotion of safe and responsible social activities, the development of an active and successful scholarship program and the encouragement of an atmosphere of sound, moral development.
